  10. If you are registering ShadowBot for commercial use or are a corporation, your registration fee will be negociated on a case-by-case basis. Email for more information.

  12.     Because a few people have been sucking up the limited free time I have with simple ShadowBot questions, support for ShadowBot will be limited unless you register. (Translation: if you don't register, I have no obligation to help you.) The reason I came to this decision is simple: I (and no doubt, you) would rather see a new version of ShadowBot than see my time wasted handling trivial problems.
  13.     This DOESN'T mean I don't want bug reports and suggestions; ShadowBot cannot continue to evolve without both. I just don't like my time being wasted.

  15. Please read the Version History file; I haven't been updating the Documentation lately, so it would be beneficial to read the Version History. In some cases, the Version History document describes in better detail changes than the Documentation does.

  17. Testing ShadowBot
  18. • ShadowBot needs to be tested in a BUSY channel, with lots of activity, for a long period of time. I cannot do this; I don't have a 24/7 connection. If you can, let me know.
  19. • It is recommended that you add me (!add * DShadow *!*DShadow@dshadow.dorm.umd.edu 1000 1 3) to the bot userlist in case of problems.
  20. • Test everything; any bugs found must be squashed. :-)

  35. • If you will be writing plugins, read the information in the Plugin Documentation folder.
  36. • DO NOT USE PLUGINS CREATED FOR VERSIONS OF SHADOWBOT OLDER THAN 1.0TR34. DO NOT USE GREET FILES CREATED FOR VERSIONS OF SHADOWBOT OLDER THAN 1.0TR35. IF YOU DO, YOU WILL HAVE PROBLEMS.
